I'm a 7

No, not out of 10...

Enneagramfree enneagram test

I'm reading a book, The Wisdom of the Enneagram. In addition to using the book to determine my personality type, I thought I'd head over to their website and take the on-line quiz. The results are consistent.

I am trapped in a cycle -- I took a similar quiz on another website awhile ago and kwakersaur noted in the comments that it was probably based on the enneagram. Actually, I remembered his comment and thats why I grabbed the book when I came across it. I think the book will help me use this knowledge because its not about simply knowing what our personality is, but what its strengths and weaknesses our and how it affects our spiritual journey.

I'm really enjoying the book and hoping it will lead me to a spiritual breakthrough as I've been stalled for quite some time now.

I hadn't thought of it, but it is not surprising that you are a 7 -- we are both enthusiastic people.

I knew just from reading the description that I would be a 7. Have you ever done that exercise -- what is the one adjective you would want others to use to describe you? I always thought it would be that I'm enthusiastic.

Its very interesting to start reading about the areas where I need work, I'm not surprised by them either, I'm just hoping it offers some guidance on how.

Up next...the chakra test...

Hey, Harold here again. I wanted to say my 2 cents worth about those damn SOL's so I'll stick it in here.

The SOL's are one of the reasons I decided to take an early retirement. It got to the point that school wasn't fun any more. The only thing we did was drill for the end of year SOL tests. The pressure that was on the 3rd and 5th grade teachers and kids to do well on those tests was terrible. My next to last year, I was moved to the 2nd grade. The excuse was I was retiring in 2 years and a new teacher needed to that next year to familiarize herself with the SOL's before the mandatory pass/fail scores kicked in but the real reason was because I wasn't drilling my kids every minute of the day like the other two 3rd grade teachers. But the relief of not being in a testing grade was unbelievable. I hadn’t realized just how much pressure I was under until I moved to the 2nd grade. Of course we had SOL’s for the 2nd grade too but there was no end of the year test to worry about.

'Nother 7 here. Actually, I had a tie between 7 and 2 (helper), but I'm sure I'm more a 7--although 9 (peacemaker) wasn't far behind.

I was definitely a 7, but I think I only outscored 2 by a point or two. One of these days, I'm going back to take the longer version.
